Excitement is building for your new carpet installation! To ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible and you get the flawless finish you're expecting, a little preparation goes a long way.

For homeowners in the Douglassville & Wyomissing, PA area, this carpet pre-installation checklist will help you prepare your space and know what to expect from your installation team.

Before the Installation Day

Remove Furniture and Items: Before the installers arrive, clear the room of all furniture, electronics, and any personal items. This allows the team to work efficiently without having to move things around.
Prepare the Subfloor: If you are removing an old carpet yourself, make sure to pull up any existing tack strips and staples. Ensure the subfloor is clean and dry.
Address Doors: Check if the new carpet’s thickness will prevent doors from opening and closing properly. It’s often a good idea to remove interior doors beforehand so installers can work freely and re-hang them later if trimming is needed.
Clear the Path: Make sure there is a clear, unobstructed pathway from your front door to the installation area.
Arrange for Pets: For their safety and to keep them from getting in the way, make arrangements to keep pets in a separate, secure room or out of the house for the day.

During the Installation

Expect Noise and Dust: Carpet installation is a hands-on process that involves cutting and stretching. Expect some noise and a small amount of dust. Our professional team will do their best to keep the work area contained and tidy.
Provide a Work Area: Have a space available, such as a garage or a cleared room, where the installers can cut the carpet rolls.

A little preparation on your part helps our professional installers do their best work, leading to a beautiful and long-lasting result.
